10、sonnel,compliancewithexistingregulations,andpreventionofpollution.Thisrecommendedpracticehasbeendevelopedwiththehelpandextensivecontributionsfromindustryexpertsofdifferentareasofexpertise.Thisrecommendedpracticecoversbothfixedandfloatingstructuresthatareinusebytheindustryasoffshoreoilandgasproductio

11、nsystems.Theseincludesystemssupportedbycolumn-stabilizedunits(semisubmersiblevessels),ship-shapedvessels,TensionLegPlatforms(TLP),deepdraftcaissonvessels(alsoknownasSPARs),andotherhullshapes.Thisrecommendedpracticeprovidesanassessmentprocessfortheconsiderationoffireandblastinthedesignofoffshorestruc

12、turesandincludesguidanceandexamplesforsettingperformancecriteria.ThisdocumentcomplementsthecontentsoftheSection18ofAPIRP2A,21stEditionwithmorecomprehensiveguidanceindesignofbothfixedandfloatingoffshorestructuresagainstfireandblastloading.Guidanceontheimplementationofsafetyandenvironmentalmanagementp

13、racticesandhazardidentification,eventdefinitionandriskassessmentcanbefoundinAPIRP7551andtheAPIRP14series52,53.Theinterfacewiththesedocumentsisidentifiedandemphasizedthroughout,asstructuralengineersneedtoworkcloselywithfacilitiesengineersexperiencedinperforminghazardanalysisasdescribedinAPIRP14J52,an

14、dwiththeoperator5ssafetymanagementsystemasdescribedinAPIRP7551.Thisrecommendedpracticeprovidesgeneralguidelinesforincorporatinghazardanalysisoutputintothestructuralresponseassessmentindeterminingwhetherthestructureoritscomponentsmeetthespecifiedperformancecriteria.Thisrecommendedpracticeincludescode

15、provisionsandassociatedcommentary.Thecommentaryprovidesdesignguidelinesfortheevaluationofstructuralresponsetofireandblastloads.Nominalblastloadcasesareprovidedforcertainclassesoffacilities.Guidanceisalsoprovidedforthecalculationoffireloads.Discussionofalternativemethodsforthecalculationofblastloads,
