ProblemStatementDuringthelasttwodecades,thespectacularadvancementswithinthefieldofinformationtechnologyhavecreatedpowerfulgraphicalworkstationswithpossibilitiestostudymathematicsinnewandexitingways.Todayitisevidenthowcomputerbasedanimationsandsimulationshaveaffectedmostfieldsthatinvolvemathematicalapplicationsinsomeway.Visualizationofstructuralrelationshipsanddynamicprocesseshasemergedasafieldofitsown,withapplicationswithinscienceandtechnologyaswellaswithineconomicsandsocialsciences.Itisthereforesomethingofaparadoxthatoneofthefieldsthatseemstohavebeenleastaffectedbythisdevelopmentisthefieldofmathematicsitself.Thisisespeciallytrueofmathematicseducation,i.e.mathematicaldidactics.Atouruniversitieswearestillcarryingonthetraditionalwaysofmathematicsteaching-executingourcoursesintheoverallspiritofuthesameprocedureaslastyear11!Amongmathematicsteachers,computersareoftenconsideredathreateningelement,thatfocusesthestudents'attentioninthewrongdirection.Thisattitudeiseasilyreinforcedbythemultitudeoflow-qualityeducationalsoftwarethatsupportsmathematicallytrivialpursuitsinonewayoranother.Infact,thisdeplorablestateofaffairshascausedtheissueofcomputer-supportedorcomputer-disturbedmathematicstosurfaceasamajordiscussionthemeamongmathematicaleducationalists.
